ACM-IAU Familiarization Visit
September 14-17, 2024 | Aix-en-Provence, France

Since the late 1950s, our commitment to fostering relationships with leaders in international higher education has been at the heart of our mission. This year we’re offering a unique familiarization visit which aims to introduce our guests to the vibrant academic community and innovative programming of The American College of the Mediterranean (ACM) and The Institute for American Universities (IAU) here in Aix-en-Provence. The agenda is designed to promote meaningful exchange and networking, encouraging all participants to immerse themselves in our programs and freely ask questions.

IF ARRIVING BY TRAIN
There are two train stations in Aix-en-Provence. The city center station is called Aix City Centre (for local journeys) and the Aix-en-Provence TGV station (for domestic and international trips) is located about 20 minutes outside of the city center.
Aix-en-Provence Bus Station (Gare Routière) is located close to the city center and welcomes shuttle buses to and from Marseille Provence International Airport and Aix TGV train station.
If arriving at the TGV Station, you can take bus number 40 direction Aix-en-Provence to get to Aix Gare Routière/city center. If arriving from north of Aix, use the main concourse linked to the southbound platform by a footbridge across the rail tracks (stairs or elevators on both sides). Once there, you should see signs for public transport. Then follow the sign shuttle bus, go down the stairs again to the road under the train station (level -1). The 40 bus departs every 15 minutes.
If you do not plan to take the train on the same day you fly into Paris: Your train will depart from the train station Paris Gare de Lyon. Therefore, book your ticket, in advance again, departing from the Paris Gare de Lyon and arriving at the Aix-en-Provence TGV station.
